to promote healthy eating through Japanese cuisine focusing on SOY and
to raise funds for teaching healthy eating to more children.
Our partner organizations donate based on the number of participants and photos posted.
1 participant or 1 photo posted = Food education for 1 child.
Have fun with challenges, learn about soy and support our mission of teaching healthy eating to more children for a healthier world!

- OFFICIAL EVENTS -
A standard official event has the following components. Contents of each event vary.
Soy Presentation
Soy is healthy and delicious and also a key ingredient in Japanese food. We’ll start of each virtual event with a quick 10 minute presentation about Soy.
Chopsticks Competition
Next up is the Edamame Chopsticks Competition! Winners of each event will be invited to the US final edamame chopsticks competition to compete for the Champion title!
Soy Cooking Class
Each event ends with a live cooking class on some delicious dishes using Soy! Participants are provided with ingredient lists and can cook along during the event.

You can host an online event, an in-person event, or hybrid event.
Chopsticks COMPETITION RULES
What to prepare (per person)
(1) A small bawl & dish or A score sheet (*A cute panda score sheet)
(2) 25 or more shelled edamame (or any beans available)
(3) 1 pair Chopsticks
Competition
Set a timer for 1 minute
Pick up edamame with chopsticks and make circles with five edamame forming each circle
The one who moves the most edamame wins!
Select winners from each category (Learner or Expart), depending on the size of your event.
Up to 29 participants = 2 winners per category / More than 30 participants = 3 winners per category
Chopsticks Competition Prizes
All winners from each event will be invited to the US final championship to compete for the champion belt!
National champs will get original #EdamameChamp items!
